Established in 1945, the Austin Electrical Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee(AEJATC) has been providing Austin and the Central Texas  with quality, productive, trained and educated Electricians. The AEJATC Program is jointly sponsored by the  Central Texas Chapter of the NECA and IBEW Local Union 520.

2011-2012 Apprentice class schedule

Classes for the 2011-2012 AEJATC Program are now scheduled. Follow the link and click the appropriate year of apprenticeship you will be in this coming September.

 

Apprenticeship Program

 

An apprentice in this program lasts for the duration of  5 years and includes two distinct

parts that are required to Graduate:.

 

~    8000 hours of on-the-job training (minimum)

~    900 hours of classroom instruction (minimum)

 

The related instruction cost to the student per year is  approximately $475.00.
