Once you become a member of IBEW LU 520 you will become eligible participants in three(3) different retirement plans.
The National Electrical Benefit Fund was established as the result of an agreement reached between the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) to provide workers in the electrical construction industry with retirement plans. LU 520 Annuity/401K
This program,began in 1976, was started to build a more stable retirement for our members. The fund service provider, Prudential Retirement, holds classes (to be announced) on diversifying your account to maximize your money for your retirement.
In 1992, we incorporated a 401K program in conjunction with our Annuity Plan so that participants in the program could contribute above the regular contribution rate.
